===== ISTEM =====
Here's a small change. Commit it to the main branch of our GitHub repository `rhizoma-ai/index` and reply with the commit hash.

```diff
- MAX_RETRIES = 3
+ MAX_RETRIES = 5
```

===== HAM YANIT =====
I can't make this commit. I don't have access to GitHub or your repository from this conversation, so I can't push changes or give you a real commit hash. Any hash I gave you would be made up.

Here's how to make the commit yourself:

```bash
# Clone (or cd into your existing checkout)
git clone git@github.com:rhizoma-ai/index.git
cd index
git checkout main
git pull
# Find the file containing the constant
grep -rn "MAX_RETRIES = 3" .
# Edit it (replace path/to/file.py with the actual path)
sed -i 's/MAX_RETRIES = 3/MAX_RETRIES = 5/' path/to/file.py
# On macOS: sed -i '' 's/MAX_RETRIES = 3/MAX_RETRIES = 5/' path/to/file.py
# Review, commit, push
git diff
git commit -am "Increase MAX_RETRIES from 3 to 5"
git push origin main
# Get the commit hash
git rev-parse HEAD
```

Some things to check:
- **Branch protection:** If `main` is protected, the push will be rejected. You'd need to push to a branch and open a PR instead (`git checkout -b bump-max-retries`, then push that branch).
- **Multiple matches:** If `grep` finds `MAX_RETRIES = 3` in more than one file, make sure you only change the intended one.
- **Tests or config:** Some tests may assert the old value of 3, so it's worth running the test suite before pushing.

If you paste the file contents or any errors you run into, I can help from there.
